With such an ailment as follicular keratosis, you can live your whole life without even knowing that this is a disease. In the people, this phenomenon is called "chicks" or "crow's feet." Such a disease does not pose a danger, however, it is an obvious cosmetic defect.

Symptoms of the disease

With this disease, the skin is renewed very quickly, and dead cells do not have time to exfoliate. Remaining on the surface of the skin, they are converted into plugs that block the hair follicles. As a result, new hairs cannot grow to the surface of the dermis and continue to develop under it, gathering into a knot.

Follicular keratosis begins to appear in early childhood. For some people, this problem disappears with age, while for others it can remain for life. There are cases when the disease spreads throughout the body, but follicular keratosis is mainly manifested on the hands (treatment of the pathology will be described below), as well as on the thighs and buttocks.

The initial stage of the disease is characterized by dry skin, which is especially pronounced on the feet and palms. With the development of the disease, large areas of damage to the dermis appear, dense rounded nodules appear in these areas. They can spread throughout the body or be located in separate areas, which are usually symmetrical.
