1973 was a landmark year for many generations. It was this year that the premiere of the film took place, which earned the status of “The Best Fairy Tale of the 20th Century” in the Czech Republic. In the USSR, and later in the post-Soviet space, the adaptation of the well-known fairy tale also enjoyed (and continues to enjoy) wild popularity. And the actress who played the title role in the adaptation became everyone's favorite. Many believe that this was the best incarnation of the character ever.

Meet your dream

Libushe Shafrankova was born in 1953 in Czechoslovakia, in the city of Brno. Even as a child, she had a burning dream of becoming an actress, but her parents did not really believe in the seriousness of such a choice. They had to change their minds when the girl ran away from home. Not knowing the way and acting at random, she still got to the film studio. True, she was not allowed inside.

After a while, she became a student at the Prague Theater School. She was noticed and invited to small productions, and thanks to her success, she became an inspiration for her younger sister Miroslava. Thus, two actresses appeared in the family. And in 1976 they will even play in the same film. After graduating from college, Libuse entered the theater.

Princess Libuse

At the age of nineteen, Libuse was immediately approved for the lead role in the movie fairy tale Three Nuts for Cinderella. Her bright appearance and ability to stay well in the saddle did their job. And the actor for the main male role of the prince was already selected for her. After the premiere of the film, it became clear that the actress deserved the nationwide love of many generations, and the adaptation became, as it turned out, one of the best film adaptations in the world.

For her ability to reveal the images of her heroines well, she began to be called "the best princess in the film industry." The actress is still involved in the filming of films and movies. On national television, she is called the queen, and despite her popularity, she reverently protects her family from the public.

And yet there is some information. In 1976 she met her future husband (Josef Abraham). After living for some time in Germany, the couple returned to their homeland - to the Czech Republic, where the actress directed all her energy to theater and cinema. The couple have a son named after his father. He also chose a film career and became a producer. He already has five successful series on his account.

Terrible news

More proof that the love of the audience does not fade was in 2013. It was Libusha Shafrankova who was entrusted with an honorable mission - to light the New Year's lights on the Prague New Year tree. At least 30,000 spectators attended this event.

2014 was the most terrible year for her fans - the doctors discovered the actress had lung cancer. I had to undergo surgery, which was successful. However, the award, which was supposed to be presented by the president in 2015, the actress could not accept personally, and her sister Miroslava came to the presentation. Libusha Shafrankova still has to take treatment.

But, despite the difficulties, the actress is not going to end her career at all. Not imagining herself without her viewer, screen and stage, she threw all her efforts into television projects - television series and television shows.
