Despite the fact that coarse and soft fuel filters are included in the fuel system of a car, sometimes the injector nozzles get clogged. Both of these filters are designed to keep dirt particles out of the engine's combustion chamber, but they're not all-powerful either. Clogged nozzles are most often associated not with the ingress of dirt into them, but due to the fact that soot gradually forms on them. The soot and soot that forms and accumulates on the inner walls of the injectors, over time, leads to a decrease in the flow through which the fuel moves before being sprayed into the engine.

Injector upgrade

To clear clogs, nozzles often need to be replaced or cleaned to keep them looking their best. At the moment, many specialized service centers repair any injectors, regardless of the brand of car. For these purposes, they have a whole range of professional equipment, which allows not only to carry out high-quality diagnostics of the performance of each of the elements, but also to carry out cleaning with a mandatory check of the final efficiency. However, some motorists who like to devote as much time to their car as possible prefer to deal with this procedure on their own.

How to clean nozzles at home?

First of all, it is worth saying what items you should stock up for the implementation of the specified task. First of all, you will need a power source that will allow you to start the electronic nozzle mechanism. This can be done using a charger that has a nominal voltage of at least nine volts. The required voltage can be obtained from some mobile phone chargers, but you should be careful, as most of them have 3-5 volts, which is not enough - the nozzle shutters will not open. However, excessive voltage is also not suitable, as the electronics will not withstand and will fail. In this case, you will not be able to save on cleaning, as you will need to buy a new one.

Required tools

Do-it-yourself cleaning of nozzles cannot do without the use of a five or ten milliliter syringe. And the most important component is the purifier itself. It is designed to eliminate soot inside. Almost any carburetor cleaner, sometimes called ring decarbonizer, can be used for this purpose. The nozzles are cleaned using a specialized liquid designed to eliminate burning and soot. It is worth noting here that the higher the pressure in the cylinder with the cleaning mixture, the better. The nozzles are cleaned using a container where the used liquid with soot will be drained after it has passed through them. It would be nice to use a regular button to easily turn on and off the electronic locking mechanism of the fuel cell.

Conclusion

It is worth saying that after flushing, fuel consumption often decreases, which has a positive effect on vehicle operation. If ultrasonic cleaning of nozzles is carried out, the result will be even better.
